This children's storytime yoga lesson plan, created by a professional children's yoga teacher, is the perfect companion to the sweet story "Little Cloud" by Eric Carle, and includes traditional yoga poses for each cloud formation (modified to be age- and level-appropriate), lots of fun creative movements and imaginative play, oral storytelling and singing, breathing & calming (self-regulation) exercises, relaxation, visualization & mindfulness activities, and self-esteem building lessons!
Each lesson plan is KID TESTED, and includes step-by-step instructions for the poses/exercises, tons of pictures and examples of the lesson plan in action, and a list of additional resources (including books, props, songs, etc.to supplement the lesson plan).
Use the full lesson tied to the story "Little Cloud", or pull out specific poses/calming exercises to use for brain breaks, or in other lesson plans throughout the school year.
All lessons include tips on working with various ages and abilities (this specific plan is tailored to Preschoolers-3rd Grade), giving options of difficulty for poses and allowing instructors to modify for their specific students.
